Rotterdam has a lot of festivals, most of them are helt in the summer.
One of the most beautiful ones is the Caribean Carnaval, the biggest Caribean Carnaval in on the European continent. About 600,000 people will visit this festival this year, which will take place in August.
The biggest Caribean Carnaval on the European continent, with a lot of exotic food, drinks, music and parties (indoor and outdoor).

One of the biggest techno and house-parades in Europe ! It is like the same as The Love Parade in Berlin, but a bit smaller. Every year 500.000 people will visit this event (this year on August 11th, 11.00 hrs) in the centre, to party on techno, big beat, progressive and club. This is definitely a must-see !!!

    Wereldhavendagen (World Port Festival)
This year the festival took place from 7 til 9 September. It's entirely dedicated to Rotterdam as one of the largest harbor cities in the world. During these days ordinary people get the chance to take a peek in this fascinating aspect of Rotterdam. Huge ships, historic boats, freight containers, museums and lots more are all open to the publice. The navy, the fire brigade, harbor police, etc are out to give demonstrations. There are fireworks at night and on the docks you can find plenty opportunities to just stroll around, have a bite to eat or even shop at one of the many market stalls. In any way: you won't be bored!

Concert and Congress Centre ‘De Doelen’

Famous orchestras, conductors and soloists perform in some 500 concerts hold annually in De Doelen.
