We used trams to get the place. There are 2 routes to go to Scheveningen, # 1 and 9. Tram 9 connect both railway stations and Kurhaus in Scheveningen (it goes along eastern part of the place). Tram 1 has a stop near of Den Haag HS rail station only and goes along weestern part of the place).
The single ticket to buy with driver is EUR 2.50 per person and it is better to buy it in the special koisks. We bought the tickets in the hotel reception (return ticket is EUR 2.60 per person).

The tram is the best option to visit Scheveningen. You don't have to look for parking space, which is also very expensive. The tram brings you fast to the beach of Scheveningen. Several tram lines have there terminus in Scheveningen.

In Scheveningen there are several parking houses and areas. We parked in the open air area called "Zwarte pad" for Euro 1.90 per hour. All the parking you see in the streets is for a charge and only short term. You also have to pay on weekends.
When we left Scheveningen we lost a lot of time in traffic jams as part of the A12 motorway was under reconstruction and the following the "U" signs wasn't easy either.

Noppes! Donot think you can park your car in the beach-resort Scheveningen. No free parking facilities! Nada Nienta Nothing (ONE exception, but I would like that to keep it for own use, sorry ...!)! And the parking opportunities are limited! So try to find a car park, where you can park as long as you like ...

The most comfortable way to visit Scheveningen is to catch a tram from the city center of The Hague. Trams number 1 and 9 will bring you to the most popular points while number 11 stops a little to the west leaving you near the Obelisk (see tips) at Scheveningen Haven. If you travel from the city center, you have to stamp THREE STRIPES of your strippenkaart (two zones). It is also possible to walk from Madurodam to Scheveningen (around 1,5 km).

Tram 9 will take you from the central station to Scheveningen.
You will find it on the left side of the train station just outside. It leaves for Scheveningen every 5 minutes or so during weekdays. Every 10 minutes during the weekend.
From Hollands Spoor you can take tram 1 to get to Scheveningen. Also every 5 minutes or so on weekdays. A little less often during weekends but during the day still every 10 minutes or around that

I recommend the Parking garage at the Zwolse straat. If you enter Scheveningen via the Van Alkemadelaan keep the right lane and turn right after the Shall gasstation.
It's 300 meters from the Pier and open 24 hours a day.
Tarife: Euro 1,40 per hour with a maximum of Euro 10,00 per day.
Capacity: 2030 parking places.
