We were in Scheveningen just once, in a sunny day of late August, when beaches in Portugal are starting the second half season. I was not impressed - the beach is wide and well equiped, but the rough sea and dark water didn't invite us (nor anyone else). I know - it's the risk of a first impression, but if that was the look in August...more

There are so many restaurants at the boulevard. Me and my parents had dinner on the first evening at Vitesse. There is a part where you can have a view over the sea/boulevard and a part back in the restaurant where you hardly have a view at the sea/boulevard. We sat at the part where you could see the sea/boulevard. I had the tuna with carots and...more

Yes, the trams can be dangerous. Their tracks cross roads, bicycle paths and sidewalks. For all their bulk, they’re quite quiet because they’re electric. They have their own traffic lights and often have the right-of-way. If you’re in the way of a tram, they’ll ring their bell at you. If you ignore the bell, you’ll hear a horn blaring at you. You...more
Yep,... parking your car in Scheveningen is like HORROR!
To park freely your car, that is totally impossible. You have to pay every day from 10.00 until 24.00 hrs. and even until 02.00 hrs at some places. It's annoying you have to pay every 30 minutes, or every hour, so come back in time! Otherwise you will get a ticket for sure!
Unique Suggestions: That is why it is told you better seek for a garage!
Most of the parking garages are open for the full 24 hours. 7 Days a week.
* Parking Scheveningen Bad (Zwolsestraat) - 2030 places
* Parking Nieuwe Parklaan (Nieuwe Parklaan) - 570 places
* Parking Kurhaus (Gevers Deynootweg) 250 places
* Zwartepad - 415 places
* Strandweg (Boulevard) - 800 places
Fun Alternatives: ...
Psst, come some closer you ...
Wanna know a little secret ?
Find the Zeekant, just behind the Boulevard ...
It is allowed to park there for 2 hours!
And it is a remarkable fact for not many people know this small street ...
So you can enjoy a Boulevard walk for 2 whole hours ...
Keep it for yourself, as long as it last *LOL*
Scheveningen is a truely beach resort even in wintertime. And it is quite expensive so it should be waisted money for not bringing your own suitcase and bags ... Walking on the Boulevard of Scheveningen most people miss the special board sign where you can read and see how the tidal currents cause their strength.You can get an idea how unpredictable and very dangerous the sea-water can be!And where and when it is safe to swimm!The special sign has been specially designed on a wooden, prepared board because...more

It is the area of a little roundabout and familiar for meeting eachother which I never understood why.Yes, you do have some parking places here, and along the Zwarte Pad (Black Path, see above) you can park your car, too. Though you have to come very early in the morning and maybe when lucky...more

Scheveningen is a district of The Hague, a well-known seaside resort with a long sandy beach, an esplanade, a pier, and a lighthouse.In 1818, Jacob Pronk constructed a wooden building on a dune near the sea, from where people could bathe from four separate rooms. It marked the start of Scheveningen as a bathing resort. Since then, Scheveningen has...more
