    Province Zuid-Holland has a long coastline.

    Best places for beach holidays are:
    Noordwijk aan Zee
    Katwijk aan Zee
    Scheveningen
    Hoek van Holland
    Rockanje
    Ouddorp

    Do excuse if you feel I left out a place :-)

    Your picknick basket, your coolbox, swimming trunks, slippers, sun protection, frisbee.... awwwwww you know :-)

    Cycling is a great way to be acquainted with the province Zuid-Holland. At trainstations you can rent bikes to explore the towns and country side. Smaller towns and villages usually have bike-rentals. Ask at the tourist offices (VVV).

    A normal touring bike is sufficient as there are no hills. Maybe a racing bike is an idea if you're into fast cycling!

    You'll find that most roads have cycle lanes and the nature parks have walking as well as cycling paths.

    Excelsior (eredivisie)- Rotterdam
    Sparta (1st division)- Rotterdam
    Feyenoord (eredivisie)- Rotterdam
    ADO Den Haag (1st division) - The Hague

    I don't know how you translate 'eredivisie' but it is a level higher than 1st division.

    You must be a member of the football club to get tickets. So you need a member pass.

    I have another question after reading your reply.

    Does the busses you have recommended me for travelling to Katwijk, Noordwijk and Hoenderloo get to these destinations directly, or should I go a few stops before changing to another bus?

    Thank you for your suggestion about accomodation in Leiden and Apeldoorn.
    However, I decided to book hotels in Amsterdam and Rotterdam because this is going to be my first stay in Holland and wanted to see the big cities.

    I also have another question for you.
    You said there are two versions of Katwijk:
    1- Katwijk aan zee 2- Katwijk a/d wijk

    Can you tell me the following address is located in which one?

    Indeed the 2nd dutch camp is located at the hotel you said in your reply.

    PJ told me in his post that if I want to get to Hoenderloo from Rotterdam I have to take the train to Ede-Wageningen. From there take Veolia bus #108s(direction Apeldoorn).

    Do you happen to know at which stop I have to get off while travelling with bus #108s in order to reach the hotel where the dutch team will be staying?
