Madurodam, The Hague
Madurodam is a nice tourist attraction for both adults and children. They have some fine work done overthere. Every detail has been copied, every wheel turns, ... The trees in front of the buildings are evenly sized with the buildings. Beautiful!
This is an old picture of my son and myself standing next to the Grote Kerk 'Lange Jan' in Middelburg.
Madurodam; it is a small city, very nice to see.
It is named after George Maduro, born in 1916 in Curacao and studied in Leiden. He was a reserve-luitenant in W.O.II and died in 1945. His parents want to set up a statue. In coorperation with mrs. Boon-van der Stap, who was looking for funds for the Dutch Students Sanatorium, the mini city Madurodam was created. Madurodam supports good purposes for the youth.

Fondest memory: MADURODAM: On this picture you can see how all the details are on scale: houses, cars, canals and even the trees. This is a model town-part of Amsterdam, at the right you can see 'de Magere Brug', the famous old bridge. If you made a tour in Amsterdam by boat through the canals, you will recognize it.
