Surrounding places and cities, The Hague

Although it is still The Hague, the area called Loosduinen, there you can find the Ockenburg Villa which was built in 17th century and surivived WWII.
Hurry up! Soon this historical house will be destroyed and instead of a beautiful villa you'll see a hotel with 168 guest rooms and 1500 square meters of conference rooms. Nobody knows when exactly it's gonna happen, but be ready to see name "Krasnapolsky" instead of "Ockenburg"

For the Hague. Delft could be considered 'off the beaten path' but maybe you will already take the tram there and visit this old town. All second informationpages on this The Hague-page are about Delft.
In The Hague: if you are a paint-lover, you definately should go to 'Panorama Mesdag'. Here you will find the largest classic painting in the world, which is surrounding you and giving the impression that you're standing on the top of a dune and watching over Scheveningen in a long forgotten time.

Delft is typically Dutch town on the way from Rotterdam to the Hague. There are also a lot of canals and the typical Dutch architecture. You could say it is a little Amsterdam, but with more authenticity, since there are very few tourists there. There are also some impressive buildings, like the Town hall you can see in the picture. So don't forget to visit Delft when you are in Rotterdam or the Hague, although this town can be considered a destination for itself.

Here in SPRING????? Then don't forget to take a train or bus to travel to Lisse e.g. to admire the flowerfields that will be in full bloom at that time!

You will find towers like this everywhere in Leiden. Most are churchtowers, some are just towers. It's worth making pictures of, I think.

Visit Wassenaar, a lovely village right north of Den Haag, where you can visit this palace that was built by a prince of Orange.
