Inside the store by Nathalie_B This store sells food and drinks that are being brought to The Netherlands form Iran. Sweets, spices, food and drinks all this can be found in this little store. And if you're in a mood to smoke nargila you can do it right there, while shopping. Gazaar is located in the multicultural district of The Hague which is called City Mondial.
Depends on what you buy and how hungry you are ;-) Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: Boekhorststraat 50Phone: 070-380-79-80

a local specialty by Mique At this backery you can get a so-called Haagse Kakker ((Haagse) Kak is used to describe a person who is a bit of a snob). The Haagse kakker is a huge currant bun. The bun displayed on the picture is actually not a Haagse kakker (i couldn't eat that by myself) but the small variety called a wassenaarse something (forgot that). Mall by robertgaz Any Dutch city or town will have a mall or two where you can wander in and out of shops and perhaps stop at a cafe for coffee and cake and even an ice cold beer. This particular mall is somewhere around the city centre of Den Haag... I don't recall precisely where it was located... somewhere near the CBD. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Inside the Orientique by Nathalie_B This shop is a part of the City Mondial too. It sells antique as well as modern furniture from China. At Orientique you can buy everything from lamps to sofabeds, just make sure that you have enough money ;-) The store is huge, and it is nice to look inside, even if you don't gonna buy anything, just pretend you're in a museum! Passage by robertgaz At the far end of the Buitenhof you will find the Passage which is a 19th Gallery not unlike those magnificent ones found in Brussels, Paris and many historic Italian cities.
The Passage has many interesting shops and some good restaurants. There is a fascinating bookstore in the middle that has many, many books in many languages. Leave a Comment

by roza.v.welzenes The Passage is the only remaining examples in Holland in this type of covered shopping streets, which dates from 1885 and was restored to it's full glory in 1991. The glass- roofed mall is home to many specialist shops with utramodern appeal with it's splendid architecture. Theme: Women's Clothes

Usually I go shopping in Amsterdam or Haarlem. Recently I first went to Den Haag. The city is so great shopping wise. You can find anything here. From cheap to luxury clothing shops, antique shops and many book and art shops. Best place to start is at Paleis Noordeinde and walk through the more expensive street. At one moment you will find yourself in the more normal shopping streets. The shops are all located in one main area, so that makes it quite easy to navigate. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

beijenkorf-thehague by RoyJava It is said The Hague has too many shops compared to any other city in the Netherlands. A bit of overdone to say so. Well, start just enjoy the center of The Hague. When walking about Holland's most popular mall Bijenkorf you'll see the decorations created by several artists. Like the leaded windows and other decorations. The Bijenkorf-complex has 5 floors and a cellar-basement.. Architect Pieter Lodewijk Kramer (1881 - 1961) created the Bijenkorf (=Beehive) of The Hague maybe with a lot of insects in his mind ... Insects Hustling & Bustling ;-)
The Bijenkorf; famous and luxurious -historic and legedary. And I think every Dutch famy has visited the Beijenkorf, included me *smile* ... Take a look at the make-up, they have great items. Find the fashion department, and open your wallet ... and have a nice view at the passers-by sipping your orange-juice, just at the corner. When visiting The Hague you cannot miss the Beijenkorf. Pay special attention to the "Drie Dolle Dwaze Dagen" (Three Mad Silly Days) somewhere in September. Beehive is then Madhouse for 3 days ...
Depends ... (Madhouse with bottom-prices?) Leave a Comment Theme: Department StoreAddress: Grote Marktstraat 32, The HagueDirections: Warehouse district center of The Hague, just next to China TownWebsite: %bwww.beyenkorf.nl

This shop has a very large collection of designer jewelry, Dutch, but also from other countries. Four times a year there is a special exhibition of one artist or group of artists.
I've bought many items here, rings, necklaces, armbraces. Leave a Comment
