    Empire -formerly known as Vinyl Solution- is great shop for looking for 2nd hand vinyl records. True, the shop also had CD's and DVD and a great collection of dolls, but going through the vinyl collection was a great experience. Found some flexies, comedy, soundFX and left the documentary for the next time. There's a shelf with low priced Jukebox 45ers. This is just a shop where you have to go through everything on display. Nicely alphabetically ordered and good service by the shop keeper Walter Herman .

    Just that record what you were looking for all those years.

    "Going to the Fred" became a real The Hague quote, meaning going for a "Haegsch" shop at Frederik Hendriklaan, a large street with shops. "Haegsch shopping" is the way the high-society express themselves and, although the Fred is almost one km long you can walk quietly along the enormous diversity of shops ...

    A lot of nice restaurants, coffe-shops and terraces where you may rest after shopped at the Fred. You could start at Paagman, just in the center of the Fred. Paagman is one of the best book-shops in town ... and see the nice small flower- and fruit-stalls.

    The Fred is not that expensive, though it isn't a market either ...

    First attracted by the window all in orange, we went in the shop and discovered a few cool things we soon passed on. Fortunately for us, the shopkeeper was very friendly and accepted pics (this is seldom the case, I can tell you !). So we tried everything possible there ! A good address if you need a special outfit for a special occasion. Thanks again "Meneer Coelho" ;-)
