Around the Binnenhof and the Buitenhof, this is 'Plein' (litt. the Square) with the statue of William of Orange.
This lake next to the Binnenhof is a place where cultural events take place. In 2005, you could see some sculptures in and around the lake.

The Binnenhof has been our political center for a long time. The buildings are beautiful, and build in or around the 13th century. Guided tours can be taken from Monday to Saturday.
When you visit the Hague be sure to visit the government center.

Old Town Hall
The oldest portions of this building date between 1561 and 1565 and were done in the Renaissance style. It's one of the oldest buildings in the center of the city.
