Set out on a journey of discovery in The Hague. In Omniversum, the only Dutch IMAX Dome Theatre (giant picture cinema), you'll discover too much, so tilt back your seat, relax and enjoy this dynamic filmtheater ...

Technical equipment of Omniversum: a 15 kw lamphouse with a watercooled unit enlarges each frame 500 times. If placed on the Moon, you could see the light from Earth ...

Experience Mother Earth´s fiercest powers, the Blue Nile, Niagara Waterfalls or other unique travel destinations, in Omniversum you´ll discover all of it laying back in your chair.

All IMAX films are in Dutch, English translation available by earphone (0,75 Euro each).

Go and watch the movie 'Everest' - it was the most wonderful film I have ever seen about the mountain and the stories around.. Very impressive!!!

If your Dutch is not so good or non existant - bring headphones! The film will be shown in Dutch but you can plug in headphones next to your seat to hear the original version. The ones you get are only for one ear so bringing your own is probably a good idea.

'Normal' films in the Netherlands aren't dubbed luckily!

Visit the Omniversum, an IMAX Dome theater.
The IMAX Dome experience wraps the audience in images of unsurpassed size and impact, providing an amazing sense of involvement. The giant dome screen, 100 feet (30 meters) in diameter, and high-fidelity sound encompass the audience, putting them in the centre of the action. To preserve the maximum number of seats, the “Rolling Loop” projector is raised from the projection room below into a “doghouse” just large enough to accept it, while film reels and operator remain below.
