    Snelweg

The Netherlands has a vast and efficient network of freeways known as the "Snelweg". Destinations are very well marked with plenty of exit warnings making it easy to get around. The speed limit on the Snelweg is 120 kmph and don't forget to drive on the right.

If you click on the picture to enlarge it you can see that the distance to Europe's biggest and busiest harbour at Europoort is 19 km's away. You will also notice that the berths at Europoort are marked as "havens" and this sign directs you to berths 2250 to 9900.

    MOTOR - TRIKE ROYJAVA

No, this is not a motor-bike (even it looks like one) and, not a car (even the back could be one). This is a tricycle, better known as "trike". Isn't that a gorgeous, hot, cool thing?

The trike controls are exactly the same as on a motorcycle. However, the steering is quite different and you need to get used to it. And don't tell you can ride a trike that easy, 'cause before you know you'll end your trip in the ditch.

No no, it is not mine! You can find some around The Hague and, maybe RoyJava and doggy Java with ... > friend's trike.

    The SMART way

    Smartie

Of course we went to The Hague the Smart way! Our little car is so easy to park in the city.
Parking is quite expensive in the city centre so we park a bit outside the city (free in the weekend) and walk into the centre. There are also trams from various areas around the city and they run regularly. The train station (Den Haag centraal) is close to the centre.

See here the Koningskade. Flow with its mainstream coming from the highway A4, to Scheveningen. When driving your way back, you'll see this well-known The Hague skyline where you may turn at the traffic light to the left for the Benoordenhoutseweg (the main road to Amsterdam, Utrecht and Rotterdam).

If driving on you'll pass the Malieveld on you left hand, on the way to the Koningstunnel or Central Station, The Hague. On your right hand there's The Hagues centre, inludes The Hagues Old City Lake ... >>>

If you come to The Hague by car the last restplace at the A12 highway is just past Zoetermeer at the Knorrestein Tankstop/rest area.
