Vlaardingen is a town in South Holland. It is located on the north bank of the Nieuwe Maas/Nieuwe Waterweg river at the confluence with the Oude Maas.
Some historical buildings in the centre of town are the Grote Kerk (Big Church), the Waag (Weighing Bridge) adjoining to the church and the old town hall (among other things used for weddings), all located on the Markt, the former marketplace, the Visbank (Fish Auction) at the harbour and the Oude Lijnbaan.
You can watch my 1 min 37 sec Video Vlaardingen Museum out of my Youtube channel or here on VT.

This statue is located in front of the "groen van Prinsteren Lyceum". The school is located at the Rotterdamseweg in Vlaardingen.
Fondest memory:
I was born at the Rotterdamseweg, we lived in houses that where build as emergency houses after the war...the stayed much longer as planned. Now they are replaced by modern houses..
