When u leave the harbor at Hank by cano u go straight and then to the right and cross the water and there u are in the middle of the Biesbosch.

Although it rained all day it was great to see all those creeks and listen to the sounds of the birds and the fish who were jumping up and down in the water.
Pity we didnt see any beavers, but........we heard a cuckoo, Japanese nightinggales and we saw seaguls in the sky, ducks and swans so near that u could almost touch them.

Best way to see the Biesbosch nature reserve is by Canoe. This is truely the best way to experience the beauty of this place.

Try to avoid the busy july/august period.
