The best way to discover the Bieschbos is going by canoe (or rowboat).
With a canoe you can escape those motorboats that are noisy and stinks hours on end. They are not allowed to get into the smallest creeks but you are (except for a few but that is on the map you ought to buy before getting into this trip).
While your canoe slides silently through the water you will hear the sound of nature: birds, insects, the sound of the wind through the leaves and you can scent nature! Those people on a motorboat simply don't know what they miss!

You can go on a guided tour through the area, some are on a huge motorboat but others, like the one on this picture, are done on a quiet electrical boat.
This kind of boat is called the Fluisterboot, translated it is the Whispering boat, because it doesn't make any sound and you can enjoy the environment: view, sound, scent.
You can access this boat at the marina Vissershang at Hank. Max persons/boat = 40.

It really is a pity that the Dutch who populated the islands during Summer were so terrible annoying noisy.
Laughing till after 1 am ok, but racing with their boats for hours after midnight is a bit of unbearable. This is such a lovely area and it is after all a NATURAL RESORT, so I don't get it why they have to violence this beautiful part of nature like this. Why don't they just go to a dancing? and leave the people who likes nature to the quietness and the sounds of nature instead of rumbling motors?
What a pity!
Therefor it is best to avoid Summertime and weekends, so you will avoid this kind of "displaced tourists".

This was my first trip by cano ever cause i cant swim very well ... during canotrips of my children i went for walks or sat on terraces of a restaurant till they came back.
And offcourse what i was afraid off happened...:-) Rudy and were talking and i leaned over too far so the canoe took water and wow....panic..the cano capsized!
haha can u imagine...
Rudy wasnt too pleased with my company at that moment maybe lol
Instead of grabbing the cano i grabbed him ....big smile here now... but then he told me what to do and we were safe, but not some of the things Rudy had taken withhim. Some things were lost in the water and most of my stuff was soaking wet! and we still had 2 hrs of canoeing ahead..freezing when we arrived at the island. But we were lucky, a mate of Rudy was already on the island and campfire was already there, and this friend Mark borrowed me some dry trouser and shirt and jacket.
So if ur not a good swimmer put on some vest to be sure u will be floating when u fall in because at some places it can be very deep.
Rudy u were a great guide and u were very patient with me lol thanx i really enjoyed our trip, i will never forget it:-)))
On the pic : all the stuff that had to dry because of the swimming lol

Favorite thing: If you don't own a canoe of your own, then you can rent one at Hank. There is this marina called Vissershang. It is just completely renewed.
You can alos hire a rowboat should you prefer to do this.
Fondest memory: info about the marina Vissershang you can find at:
http://www.fluisterboot.com/
it is however a Dutch site.
