The price level
The price level in Norway is known for beeing high. Tourists related things like taking taxi, drinking beers and eating at nice restaurants are expensive.
Fun Alternatives: If you can lower your needs and avoid taking taxi, drinking beers and eating at nice restaurants, you can afford staying in Norway a long time. Food and beer is not that expensive in the shops or some certain restaurants.

Taxi from Gardermoen airport
The taxi companies operate with different prices from Gardermoen airport, and some of them are terrible expensive. NEVER GET INTO A TAXI BEFORE YOU KNOW THE PRICE. Also remember that taxis are more expensive with more people in the car, and more expensive at nights and public holidays. Some of the taxi companies are cheaper FROM the airport and some are cheaper TO the airport. Also note that a short trip from the airport to f.ex. Jessheim or some of the hotels in the area can be more than NOK 300,-. Another example, look at picture, it's a receipt from Citi Taxi: NOK 1738,- (290 USD) from Gardermoen airport to Oslo centre. This was on a public holiday, but anyway - Don't let the taxi destroy your holiday with shocking prices.
Fun Alternatives: Take the slow train or SAS airport coach to Oslo. Or let a friend pick you up at the airport.
