It’s called a sonanstøtstein in Norwegian and it's originally there to protect the houses from cars driving by.

.These busses represent the center of Cato, a rehab center founded by Cato Zahl Pedersen in the late 1990's. The founder himself lost one and a half arm in an accident when he was 14 and he was the first handicapped person to reach the South Pole. The center is based on his beliefs and is quite different from other rehab centers in Norway.

Son is a small place and almost all the inhabitants know each another. A couple of years ago a young Norwegian-American teenage girl (Dereka) was murdered in her home in Son. The killer was also from Son. This homicide has affected the people here, since almost everybody here knows the two families who were affected. And I believe everybody watch out for each other.
