Maybe not a place that a normal traveller would visit, but at least you will pass by if you take the train from the airport to Oslo. If you are not in a hurry, jump of the train and take a look at the city, before you continue on the train to Oslo.This is also the place where the Norway Trade Fair (Norges varemesse) is located, and many come here for this reason.Read more at my Lillestrøm page.
Eidsvoll is most famous for being the site where the constitutional assembly met to draft and sign the Norwegian Constitution on May 17, 1814. The building (Eidsvollbygningen) in which the meetings were held is today a famous museum, and very important in our history.Read more at my Eidsvoll page.
