Norwegian legends report on people finding a silver mine, however when trying to return to it they were unable to find it again. The mysterious Wood Nymphs protected the silver and did magic things with it. It is kept in the myths about the Wood Nymphs of which Lady Huldre was a member.
It belongs to Norwegian superstition, compared to the Moon and female properties. Silver was used as protection against trolls, goblins, dwarfs and when given by a Wood Nymph you had been embraced by one of them. Later silver was used against illnesses, or for healing processes and to preserve a good health.

We stayed at the Dr Holms hotel. It has many rooms with different layouts. All are quite homey. The hotel is grand and has alot of the old world charm. A delightfull bar with a number of ski mementos....
