When I went to Kongsberg I was alone and I had few hours to spend there so I miss to walking along the river. But I suggest to you to do it becasue I saw that there is a nice path all along the river , that starts close to the main bridge and takes a bit far from the center, I suppose is a quiet place for relaxing.

Kongsberg Church

If you are not tired after a walk around Kongsberg you can reach the church of this town. The architect of Kongsberg Church was Joachim Andreas Stukenbrock, a mining foreman who led a committee formed in 1738 to provide a new and larger church to replace the earlier cross-shaped timber church from 1631. The foundation stone was laid down April 21, 1740 but the church was not finished until 1761. In the interior of the church you can see the beautiful Glocer organ.
