    • Open all winter. Great place to be in the evenings. 5 minutes by taxi from the hotels.
    You can hire ski`s open from 9 to 9 every day.

  • Directions: If you arrive from Oslo you will see the ski center when you are coming into town. Just follow the E134 towards Notodden or Haugesund. About 2 km after the city center you take right on the new road up to to the ski center and new apartement hotel.

    • The old silver mines with the toy train taking you several kilometers into the mountains lies in Saggrenda about 8km from the center of Kongsberg along the E134 road.

    The mining museum that also contains a collection of old coins from the royal norwegian mint that lies next to it is worth a visit. It also has a ski museum.(Located in center of town)

    Another view of the river. I found there a real paradise for walkers and people that want to have a direct contact with nature and relax his mind. The only bad thing can be the rain... I know it rains a lot there!!

    The Numedalslågen river is a big river that breaks in two sides the city of Kongsberg, connecting the center and the main square to the up side, where is situated the church of this town.

    The organ at Kongsberg Church was built during the years 1760 to 1765 by Gottfried Heinrich Gloger, who worked as an organ builder and organist in Norway from the end of the 1730s and until his death in 1779.

    The scenery all around the whole country is beautiful some of these photos were taken on the train from Kongsberg to Oslo,in the evening.
    Although the average temp when I was there was -5 for the whole month it never seemed as cold as -5 in the Uk,if that makes sense !!??

    Take a drive with the little train into the mines and explore how people worked in this Silvermine near the town of Kongsberg not far from Oslo.
    A quarter of an hour we sat in the little train likes packed prisoners, without any comfort in complete darkness.
    Site museum mine. Mine trail running 2300 m underground. Shaft lift. Walking tour of the silver mines.

    Party all day and all night.You dont have to be a jazz lover to have a good time.
    Always top international musicians.
