If you are lucky and it is not too cloudy, then watching the midnight sun over the fjord can be breathtaking moment.

The most northerly pine forest in the world is in the Stabbursdalen valley, with trees up to 500 years old. It lies like a beautiful but vulnerable oasis in an otherwise barren landscape.

There is a visitors centre close to the main road, Stabbursnes Nature House and Museum. There is a museum and they arrange guided tours.

The National Park is very nice place to go hiking.

Favorite thing: This information board gives you some of the idea of what there is to do in this place. Obviously the sea and the nature are the reason to visit here.
