Holbergstuen is one of two restaurants with its name from a famous Bergen Poet (Ludvig Holberg).
An old traditional restaurant that has survived many changes in the surroundings. It is now built into a modern mall, but has been in the same locations since 1929
We were recommended this place by our Homestay host Inga, and it didn't disappoint! The food was just delicious and very very filling. I could not finish mine as it was just too much!
It's one of Bergen's oldest restaurants and it has a lovely feeling about the place too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although it was a bit on the expensive side it was worth it!
The restaurant is named after a very famous local author by the name of Holberg! As you walk up the stairs there is a massive characture of him on the wall!
Favorite Dish:
Any of the seafood is great! The Halibut dish is exceptionally good!
