Wesselstuen is one of two restaurants with its name from a famous Bergen Poet (Petter Wessel). It doesn't look of much from the outside, but step inside and discover one of Bergen’s traditional places
Usually, the higher the price, the fancier the meals and the less food you get. Not here. At Weselstuen, food is plenty.
Favorite Dish: I had a "Winersnitzel". As a German I must say that this was a TOTAL dispappointment. This thing was soaked in fried butter, it was lying on a mountain heap of peas and the sauteed potatoes were swimming in butter as well. This was definitely a high-cholesterol meal. My friends' dishes looked much better than mine. Anyway, I was very full by the end, and I even had to leave some unfunished food on the plate.
The dessert was "Flensburg Ice", also not according to my German memory, but very filling.
This is where you can have a good meal,
The prices is not to bad, and they always have someting good on to days special..
Favorite Dish: The biff.
This is also a place you can come for having just a beer or wine if you dont whant to eat.
It can get noice becouse of the happy Norwegians, so if you whant a romantic evening,. .this is not the place to be.
The also have outdoor tables. Thats wonderful during the summer.
