There are several places to swim in Bergen.
And in the summer there are also many nice places for outdoor swimming. In the Sea or in fresh water lakes. Do not expect beaches, though!
For now I will gather all the information about several swimming facilities in Bergen here in this review. I will, later, try to write about some of the places separately. And maybe others will help me with this?

Bergen municipality is building a new main facility for diving and swimming at Nygårdstangen. It is expected to be completed during 2014.

If you happen to be lucky enough to stay in Bergen when it's snowy (it rains almost all the time in winter, doesn't it ;)) it's time to head up on Floyen for some skiing. The tracks are really not that good for "serious" skiing, but surely good enough for anyone who tries to learn cross-counrty skiing. It's great fun!!
Equipment: Equipment for nordic skiing (shoes, sticks and skis).

Brann Bergen is the local football club. No, I did not went to see any football while here but it was somehow fun to have a drink in the pub while all of the fans are gathering around and singing some football songs. If you want to ride horses (or ponnies) while in Bergen you can contact the local ridingschool - Epona Rideklubb.
I ride there myself, and I recomend it!
Equipment: No particular gear is needed. Helmets are available

The local soccer club, often compete in European ties but 2003 having a miserable time and are bottom of their league. Missed a game by around 2 hours. *$!!/? it!
