Certainly the best and easiest way to get to Bruvik is by car, even though driving here needs a lot of attention. There are bus connections a few times a day, but it is annoying having to be dependent on this time table. Also the bus rarely drives up the steep slopes.

If you are used to driving in cities, you will probably be surprised of the narrow road to Bruvik and how fast the locals drive. The road has been improved, but still there are some parts where only one car can drive at a time. So expect to reverse sometimes if meeting another car.
But despite the high speed there are seldom any accidents. Just take your time, ejoy the view, and let the locals pass you if they are in a hurry.

Bruviknipa is the mountainwall behind the village of Bruvik. It is not big, just about 700 meters, but it gives you a great view in all directions.
Drive up the slopes towards the parking area at the top of the hill. There is a map showing the different hiking tracks around. Just start walking in south-western direction, towards Nipo.
Equipment: Hiking shoes, and a jumper or jacket on the top of the mountain.
