There are actually two ways to get to Finse. The first one is by train, the second by foot from e.g. Geiterygghytta. The train connection is from Bergen to Oslo. The trip from Bergen takes about 4 hours. There are no roads here, so can't get here by car.

A tiny train stop on the railroad between Oslo and Bergen. but you you spend some ours or day there you'll discover a pure wilderness, great silences, a lake and glacier, and what I consider pure norwegian essence!

This area gives you plenty of opportunities for hiking. One example is the track from Finse-Geiteryggshytta-Steinbergdalen-Austerb?-Aurlandsdalen. If bringing a tent, you can sleep for free more or less wherever you want to (as in every Norwegian nationalpark).
