The Låtefossen is a large, thunderingly loud twin waterfalls of 165m / 541ft. Two raging forks of a river converge at the base of the falls, with the road passing over the tail end of the falls.
Since it is on the highway (Route 13), north of E134, most people just stop by for a few minutes before continuing on their journey.
There is a small stand near the base of the waterfall where you can buy some snacks and small souvenirs.
The hotel which once stood at the southern end of the waterfall is now only visible by the ruins of its foundation.
