Ulvikpollen is a small tidal marsh at the end of Ulvikfjord. The shallow fjord, and the sandbanks that appear at low tide provide many wetland species with favoured habitat. The surrounding farmland and areas of scrub brush and small trees are always worth checking for passerines.

Fjords ... that's what everyone comes for. On this trip, I couldn't hope for more. Perfect weather, spectacular sights & technology that works, yea, my camera :-) It was a beautiful trip, quiet but full of wonders!

Osafjell
A nice ride from Ulvik to the village and fjord of Osa. Just behind Osa is a dead-end mountainroad up to the Osafjell, which is a totally desolate area. At the top you can see the Langvatnet lake. If you are up here it feels like you have landed on the moon.
One warning though:There are lots of annoying insects up here!

Fondest memory: In countries like Norway & Finland, one gets the sense of unlimited vision! Question is, what are you looking at? ;-)

Fondest memory: This reminded me of those Chinese TV series... the swordfighting type... swordmen retreating into the mountains to practice their skills, hehe...
I wonder what the Norwegians do up in the mountains?

Favorite thing: For a few hours, it's wonderful. For a lifetime? It's downright boring, lol...
Fondest memory: Indulge in the wonders of nature!
