here you can find different tanks with fish and other creatures living in the sea
don't forget to say hello to the sea lion which is wandering around
also be sure that you check out when a diver is feeding the fish in the big tank...really funny experience
In the downtown of Alesund you can't lose a visit to the Aalesund Museum.It give you an idea of the town's history in an exciting way through artefacts, models, photographs and paintings.
The Alusend is the vagen (harbour) of Alesund. Here you can see nice buildings with them Art Nouveau architectures.
In Norway, Alesund is the town with most art nouveau buildings situated within a small geographical area. Take your time to walk around and admire the details.

Using my zoom lens I could have a real nice view over the buildings in the city centre in Ålesund. I really liked this part of the city with the old warehouses along the canal.
For the rest of us , who does not feel up to climbing in the Trollveggen we may drive up Trollstigen , on the road from Åndalsnes to Valldal. Spectacular viuw from the top.

This mountainroad brings you from Valldal to Åndalsnes, the road number is 63.
One of the beautiful glaciers of the Jostedalsbreen Nasjonalpark. The Bøyabreen seems to be one of the fastest growing glaciers of this park.
Drive up The Geiranger road towards Grotli , when you reach Djupvasshytta , turn left and take the toll road up to Dalsnibba .
