Ferry paradise!
I get many questions about ferries in Norway - mainly from cost-conscious and scared tourists. Once I had a family visiting from France and they specifically wanted to go by ferry just for the novelty of it. After the 7th ferry in a day and a half they asked me not to do this anymore. But ferries are a necessity of life in this cut-up county, and for some communities really a lifeline and cultural institution.
