Romanian party in the fjords by Diana75 The welcoming camping we have stayed in during our journey in the fjords, had also a platform for the barbecue on the Strynvatn (Stryn Lake) shore. And how could we miss a party together with a tasteful Romanian food and wonderful music. Did I forget to mention also the dance? Theme: Dancing

Serene, healthy, thrifty nightlife in Norway! by YokuMoku Since I am a teetotaler, non-smoker, living-below-my-means practitioner, and Warren Buffet wannabe who invests diligently and smartly, I see the banality of draining money to buy alcoholic drinks and cigarettes--worst if you even finance this habit with your credit card debts! I strongly believe that we should let our money work for us, not working our buns off for money only to burn and drain it in the toilet. Hence, I can only give you a serene thrifty healthy nightlife tip as shown in the picture. HA...HA...HA.... Gotcha! ;-P Leave a Comment Theme: Adult Spot

The midnight sun by SirRichard The sun never sets in this part of the world in august. They have a period of time in which you always have sun, 24 hours a day. The sun actually goes down towards the horizon, but never gets "into" the sea, it goes up again and so on... Nevertheless, the sun is not as bright at midnight as it is (sometimes) at noon. At midnight you have a foggy light, like a cloudy day. But enough to change your sleeping hours and weird to wake you up at 2 or 3 in the morning and see light around. Strange sensation... Stryn Lake by night by Diana75 And after the good food, the music and the dance, how about a "chilly" bath in the Stryn Lake turqoise waters? This is another "not-to-be-missed" thing in the fjords area. Theme: Other

Midnight Sun by GUYON A 300 m high cliff upon the Artic Ocean. A large parking (34Kr)and a huge building partially underground. A free presentation film of 20 mn (the line is long but the hall is large) and a small museum about the Cape. You can eat and drink seeing the midnight sun. In the Grotten Bar, a bust of Louis-Philippe 1er, King of French people, because he was one of the first tourists in 1795, when he was only the Duke of Orleans in exile. Open from 9AM to 2 AM. What a nightlife when there is no night. You can buy souvenirs at the local supermarket, or phone to your friends saying : 'Wake up ! Here it's midnight and the sun shines' , or put the stamp 'North Cape' on your passport, or buy a diploma 'I was here'. We did not really see the Midnigth Sun which was hidden by the clouds. It is very rare to see a round sun as on the traditional postcard.
You can try to come in T shirt. It is allowed even in Winter (see the illustration 'Packing List'). There is only one road to go there. The other way is the boat. If you are in camping car you can spend the night

Sir Winston's Pub, Kilkenny's, lots of others right on or within 50m of Carl Johan's Gate. Oslo is a great pub place, with friendly people and lots of tall blondes. It is a great place to have a few beers, watch and meet people... Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by good-old The meaning of a good nightlife is different from person to person, and country to country. I like quiet nights and I like it to be rock'n roll. I bet you agree that this picture shows an alternative way of spending the night. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
