The Midnight Sun
A 300 m high cliff upon the Artic Ocean. A large parking (34Kr)and a huge building partially underground. A free presentation film of 20 mn (the line is long but the hall is large) and a small museum about the Cape. You can eat and drink seeing the midnight sun. In the Grotten Bar, a bust of Louis-Philippe 1er, King of French people, because he was one of the first tourists in 1795, when he was only the Duke of Orleans in exile. Open from 9AM to 2 AM.What a nightlife when there is no night. You can buy souvenirs at the local supermarket, or phone to your friends saying : 'Wake up ! Here it's midnight and the sun shines' , or put the stamp 'North Cape' on your passport, or buy a diploma 'I was here'.We did not really see the Midnigth Sun which was hidden by the clouds.
