A proper mall with a lot of shops in it. Very useful, especially on rainy days, as it might be open more than other locations in Bodø:)
What to buy: Whatever you feel like. No special items here at all.

Bodø reminds me in many ways of a western or northern American town. One of the ways in that it seemed "American" to me was the significance of its outlying shopping mall. As in most American towns, most shopping activity takes place not in the center of town but on its outskirts, in malls that aren't all that much different from this one. I noticed that there were a lot of places in this mall to buy rugged outdoor clothing!

The central part of Bodø's main street is gathered within a glass house - where you can find lots of the central stores of most cathegories.
When the weather is cold and windy, shopping becomes much more comfortable, having this shelter and being able to do all your shopping under roof. And for many of the senior part of the population the glass house has become a friendly meeting point, a way to socialize with friends or simply watching busy people from one of the benches.
