If it's really cold and windy, walking in the streets of town may be some of a challenge, not to say a study in advanced ballet exercises. Sometimes quite fascinating from a spectator's point of view, but on the other hand, you'll probably have more than enough with keeping your own balance...
Imagine walking downhills a pavement covered with skating-ice, having strong wind from behind giving you no opportunity to stop, unless you grab hold of a street light...
The solution is of course: SAND, but don't count on that they have been there with the sand before you. And besides, it ruins all the fun :))

If you look at timetables you will see that there is very limited land transport at weekends particularly in the islands. What nobody [except me!] tells you is that 1 May - Labour Day - is like a Sunday - i.e. NO BUSES, NO SHOPS and NO TOURIST INFORMATION.

The Youth-Hostel in Bodo is almost small place so if
you came at night so don't forget'o make reservation
1-2 days before .. and also the Youth-Hostel is closed at 23:00pm , Preper your self .
