It's an easy hike - quite short as it takes only about 90 minutes to reach the top of the peak - but what a rewarding one it is. The peak you should aim at - by the way - is called skifjell, and as you can guess... it's the local mountain for skiing. This is very useful to know - because to find the trailhead you have to head to the skilift just behind the village. The path zig-zags under the skilift - and when you reach the end of it, it keeps going uphill for another stretch: When you reach the top you are graced with a 360 view over the surrounding sea and mountains... blue/green water everywhere - and grey barren peaks. Very Dramati

Comfortable shoes - preferably hiking boots - and water - as you will find none on your way there

Fishing. Lofoten is aaaaall about fishing! About fishing and... drying! Besides many 'fish it yourself' temptations, you run into many dried-fish museums, fishing industry musems or simply lonely-standing racks, and you simply can't resist... the smelly fish :) I looooove dried fish, but I tell you: it can get a bit '...'-ish...

Nose-clips. Pegs help too.

Nine beautiful links holes - at the beach at Gimsøy in Lofoten. The setting is just fantastic. During the summer (june-august) you can play under the midnight sun - 24 hours a day.

Preper for ALL kind of weather. And it will change before you will be able to run back to the clubhouse. You can rent clubs at the course.
