The Flakstad Kirke was built in 1870 and it has got a red cupola. The wood which was used to built it come from Siberia and it come here thanks the Russian River and the sea.

This is probably the most amazing landscape I've ever seen. It's like some imaginary stageset for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. You could easily imagine giants and trolls here.

There are several short paths from Å that lead into the hills and offer nice views of the village, the sea, and out to the nearby island of Værøy.
