A nice, relaxed place to get some quick but well-prepared food. Come in, pick a seat or sofa, then order your food and drink at the bar. The bartenders will give you your drinks, then deliver your food when it's ready. An inviting place to relax, enjoy a meal and beverages.
Favorite Dish: I have to recommend the fish soup -- it's excellent. The fish sandwich is also quite good.
The pub has a mind-boggling array of liquor available (at mind-boggling prices). They also have Carlsberg and Nordland (a brew made in Bodø) beer on tap. Bacalao also features a full coffee bar. Sara gives their hot chocolate two thumbs up.

This restaurant is attached to Svinøya Rorbuer [see separate accom. tip under Svolvaer.]
I've no reason to think its meat dishes are any different in quality but we so enjoyed the fish and seafood that in two nights we never tried meat.
The housewine was very good and, by Norwegian standards, not too dear.
I have not repeated pics from the accommodation tip so see that too. Obviously you don't have to be a guest at the rorbuer to eat here and some local residents were enjoying it.
Favorite Dish: Cods' tongues baked were a starter that was particularly good

Large quayside pub/bar/restaurant/hotel in a 19th century wooden building on a small island in Svolvær harbour. There is a large and very comfortable and cosy nautical themed bar, with an open fire, plus a large conservatory and large outdoor seating area. There is a good selection of bar food (seafood, baked potatoes, huge pizzas etc.), and there is also an a la carte restaurant (which we didn't try).
This is a very good option when everything else in Svolvær seems to be closed - which it was on the slightly drizzly mid-May Sunday evening that we were there.
Favorite Dish: Absolutely HUGE pizzas!
