Wine tasting at Refsnes Gods

From the wine cellar at Hotell Refsnes Gods

Refnes Gods has one of Norway's best wine cellars and is absolutely worth seeing. You have to book a guided tour in advance at the hotel reception.
When I was there the wine chief of the hotel arranged a very interesting wine tasting course. (Expect to pay a couple of hundred kroners for this.)

Transportation

From Oslo to Moss with train!

Then take the train from Oslo S, then you have some options, either you can take a local train to Moss, as it stops almost everywhere before it gets to Moss and takes about 50 min.

Or you can take the regional train to Halden, or whether to Gothenburg then take about 43 minutterm and Moss is the second stop. This is a more comfortably train, so when i'm going i take this one.

Are you going to Norway or perhaps staying away from Moss, one can take flight to Moss Airport. It is about 15-20 from Moss, so it's not that far away. I personally have yet to be worthwhile at this airport, since it is not worth there so long yet! But have heard that it's okay!

having fun in Norway.

All flora and fauna is vulnerable so it is important to act with consideration and respect towards nature.

You are allowed unrestricted admission to uncultivated areas. If camping for more than 2 days you need permistion from the land owner.

Every decent person takes there rubbish (garbage) home with them.

you're not allowed to damage or cut fresh trees.

you cannot make an outside fire in the period from April 15 till September 15. Avoid fires on bare rocks.

Off The Beaten Path

See the 'NORWEGIAN LADY'

Where the Canal Park meets Sjobadet beach there is a statue and memorial of NORWEGIAN LADY. She is proudly overlooking the seaward approach to Moss. In 1891 a ship from Moss sank just off Virginia Beach, USA. There is a sister statue identical to the one in Moss which can be found on Virginia Beach.
