When we drove to the North Cape we travelled up the E6 which we were told is the quickest and most direct route. However on our return journey we drove down the 92 and 93 through 'sami' country which was fabulous. We then continued through Finland ans Sweden to ostersund before cutting back across to Trondheim. It was just as quick however the roads were quieter and the scenery superb.
Come in winter and go skiing!!!! There is a lot of places here in Norway where you can go skiing and snowboarding.The best and biggest is located 2-3 hours from Oslo. Trysil for example is very good with 63 slopes. And to have a afterski party is just so funny!
Rafting in the river Sjoa is fantastic!!! If you like some action. Do not care about getting wet.... and you are not afraid of fall into the cold river. This is something for you! You see the nature, getting a little bit wet and have a lot of fun!!!!

Take the Coastal Express and explore the coast of Norway. This picture is from Trollfjorden in the north of Norway. Trollfjorden is very narrow, and a lot of people have been writing/painting/made graffiti on the mountain walls since the boats can come so close.
Walking in the mountains.... To take walks in the mountains in the north of Norway is fantastic. You will get a fantastic view of the landscape and a lot of fresh sea air...(if you walk in the mountains by the coast)You will be amazed how the nature changes all the time, and you will not be bored. Bring your camera and you can take some beautiful photos!
If you like to walk in the mountains try to walk in the mountains near Valdresflya.Greate nature.. You can walk around for hours and the nature change all the time. When we walked we started up in the mountains, it was snow there and after walking for some minutes it was not snow anymore. This is a great trip if you like nature, walking, and get a lot of fresh air.... :)
At Beitostølen they got a some really nice slopes for skiing and snowboarding, and here you can try to sledge too. It is great, and it moves FAAAAAST!!!Beitostølen got a lot of nice hotels and cabins for rent, and it is also possible to rent all the ski equipment. Book hotel/cabin in advance in the high seasons like Easter.
Some of the small, coastal cities in the north are scenic, quaint and most probably missed unless you're on the 'mail boat.' Get off the boat as often as possible and walk around until departure time.
