Rondane National Park is the oldest national park in Norway and has ten peaks above 2,000 metres.The highest is Rondeslottet with 2,178 m (7,146 ft). The park is an important habitat for herds of wild reindeer.

Otta is a city north in Gudbrandsdalen valley in central Norway.
Otta is an important site in the valley. The train and mainroad between Oslo and Trondheim pass by here. In the trainstation is also the busstation and taxistation.
The city is located close to Rondane national park, and there are lots of outdoor activities in the area.
The river Otta pass by the city and runs out into GudbrandsdalslÄgen here.
