    • this place holds many great concerts......the bands plays lots of diffrent styles...
    i have seen hiphop, rock, electronica, folk , blues etc here
    old bands like third world was here , and if you want to listen to diffrent norwegian bands...you will find them here :-)

    the pub next door is called john dee and is a good place to start befor the concerts
    ....here they also have concerts and events

    Wonderful atmosphere down by the Akerselva, especially pretty at night when the lanterns are lit. Interesting, "edgy" music, and an intelligent, worldly crowd as well. Excellent beer garden, and good performance space inside.u

    T.G.I. Friday's are all over Europe, seemingly in every capital city. Alas. I gave them a wide berth, but they seemed to be genuinely popular with the locals everywhere I went. The one in Oslo is the meeting place for bikers - dozens every night. But there also seemed to be all kinds of people outside on the pavement and inside in the booths: couples, families, the office crowd after work. . . And the interior is just like the one at the Mall of America.

    If it's difficult to get a seat at Cafe con Bar, it's almost impossible to get a seat at the 2 square meters of Bar Boca. But still, it's a great atmosphere. The owner of the place ( Jan Vardøens ) is quite famous and has published a pair of books with cocktail and bar-accessories tips.

    Cafe con Bar used to be very trendy a couple of years ago. Now it's said to be less trendy... but that is absolutelly not easy to remark, once there's often a queue to enter the place and as a rule you almost have to pinch someone's ass to steal his seat! Very cool place, best Bloody Mary in town! Ask for extra spicy, you won't regret!

    Techno music, not much light... you'll understand why Oslo has the best cafes in the world!

    Don't know... But jeans is my uniform and I've never been stopped. You have to be at least 23 years-old .

    • always crowded. in the daytime the clientel is a mixture of students, young mothers and businessmen.At night it is packed with young people belov 40. Typical meeting point for friends hanging out and unformal after-work gathering.
    Interesting interior. I can`t deside if I like it or it is horrible. See for yourself!

    The food are ok.

    The Stranden is the area which abuts the Sound in Aker Brygge. There are many permanently tethered boats that serve as bar-restaurants. These are great places to spend a sunny summer afternoon. Enjoying the fresh air, being next to the water, drinking a good Norwegian pils - life is good.

    • Oslo have more night life than even the biggest metropolitan citys.
    Smuget is well-recomended because of the mixed public and good music.

    Formal as informal dress code depending on the sight.
