A visit to Oslo, must include Bygdoy, where you will fine several exhibits, including The Norwegian Folk Museum, The Viking Ships, The Kontiki Museum, The Norwegian Maritme Museum, and the Fram ship. This ship was used by Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen on their polar expeditions, to the North and South Poles.
The best way to get there is by ferry that you take from pier 3, in front of the Oslo Town hall. Here you will also find the Norwegian Folk museum, which includes the famous Stavechurch built in the year 1200.

The Norwegian Folk Museum is a collection of traditional and 19th century architecture. King Oscar II started the collection in 1898. The collection has grown to 153 buildings.
