A visit to Oslo, must include Bygdoy, where you will fine several exhibits, including The Norwegian Folk Museum, The Viking Ships, The Kontiki Museum, The Norwegian Maritme Museum, and the Fram ship. This ship was used by Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen on their polar expeditions, to the North and South Poles.
The best way to get there is by ferry that you take from pier 3, in front of the Oslo Town hall. Here you will also find the Norwegian Folk museum, which includes the famous Stavechurch built in the year 1200.

A great open air museum displaying many buildings from different norwegian regions, and where everyone can interact with locals and local crafts from the old times.

Norwegians stavechurch. I'm not quite sure where this is from in Oslo... possibly at the "folkemuseumet".
