This place is called "trafikkfryd". After having a simple introduction to traffic rules , you're allowed to drive around in small nice cars and once in a while you have to fill some gas. I really wish I was a kid again and could drive around here. it seems like so much fun. A little blind boy I met was so happy to get his driving license here. He wouldn't have got it any other places
Do you like roller coasters? merry-go-round?
soft toy shops? We have it all. Try our "speedy" attractions, SpeedMonster, SuperSplash, Thundercoaster,SpaceShot or the Canoe ride which takes you high and low, back and forth. Tusenfryd also have a pool area, slides and bathing riders
The admission charge to TusenFryd includes rides on all attractions except SkyCoaster, Rodeo and horse riding. You can ride whatever you like as many times as you can manage. It couldn't be easier!
In peak season (May 29th - August 15th ), the admission charge also includes entry to the TusenFryd Waterpark where you'll find a swimming pool, a children's paddling pool and a waterslide.
Our group booked the Viking section of Tusenfryd for a special mini-concert and a tour of the Viking boat.
That animation was quite interesting and I recommend it for kids and foreigners who are interested in mythology: it's basically the retelling of the Voluspa, with a very scary holographic Volva guiding you on your boat trip to America and through your history.
We were also treated to mead (the harsh nordic one, not the sweet chouchen).
Roller coasters and scary rides for all ages. My favorites were the Speed Monster and the Thundercoaster. After screaming like there was no tomorrow I lost my voice for a couple of hours hehe.
Discount with the Oslo pass.
The park is well blended with the natural surroundings of trees and hills.
A very unique experience indeed.
Should try the wooden roller coster "Thunder-Coaster". The rattle from the wood adds the excitement.

Tusenfryd is a big amusement park located just outside the city, and it's open from late April to the beginning of October. When I was a child it used to be a little zoo, but many years ago the animals were replaced with rollercoasters and candystores. Every year they add new attractions, and the park is getting bigger and bigger every year.
There are lots of different attractions, and no matter what you like or how old you are - you will find something you like here. There are big and scary rollercoasters, plus small and funny rides. You can play all kinds of games, compete for different prices, visit Santa Claus' workshop, go swimming in the pool or eat at some of the restaurants. Children can even take their drivinglicense at 'Trafikkfryd'.
The park is not as big as many other amusement parks around the world - you have to remember that Norway is a small country with not so many inhabitants... ;) But you can easily spend a whole day here. Eating and drinking is very expencive in the park, so it might be better to bring your own food and have a picnic in the grass.
The entrance fee is regulated by height - not by age, and so are the attractions. The entrance fee is about 200,- NOK but it depends on the season, and your height... Check out their webpage for more info on prices. With the ticket you can ride almost every attraction as many times as you want, and concidering how expencive Norway normally is - then this is a very good price! Definetly worth to check out if you have the time... :)
After a long working week there is a weekend and if you are in Oslo, you can enjoy your weekend in Tusenfryd – Adventure Park. Tusenfryd means thousand of delights. Well, I’m not sure about the number but I spent some nice hours there too. There are a lot of different sideshows in the area so that both children and adults can find something interesting. I would recommend you most of all a “space shot”, and a “super splash”. You can try also two types of so called “American hills”. One is made of wood (the biggest in Europe) and the other is iron (see the picture). You surely will get some sharp feelings. Relax!!! About prices as soon as you buy a ticket you can try all shows as many times as you like, the only one side show is necessary to pay for – something like great catapult where you will be instead of stone.
If you like amusement parks, you should go to Tusenfryd outside Oslo. There are busses from the city center and back.
