Don't take a taxi from the airport to the city. It cost's about a hundred dollars. You can take an express train that is not only faster, but cheaper at about $20.

Duty-Free stores in downtown Oslo. They're great place to pay extra for souvenirs. Try looking at the smaller sidestreets to get the same stuff for a cheaper price.

If you start thinking 'Ooh, why don't we get the boat over to Nessodden or the tram to Jar to see what's there?', don't. There's nothing.

Everything is really expencive here in Norway so be aware of what you spend you money on if you have a tight budget
