Oslo has an extensive tram and subway net. If you arrive by cruise ship like I did, you will find the trams right by the harbour. It is easy to get around but not cheap.

The Nesodden commuter ferries leave from the Rådhusplassen piers down by Aker Brygge. The small house on the pier has a ticket and info booth and waiting room. Check and click the photo for detail.

The T-Bane is the name of the Oslo subway system. Rides are free with the Oslo pass. Trams and busses also run through the city.

Oslo is a great city to walk around. Lots of sightseeing, parks and nature. Bring good walking shoes with you, especially if you visit in the winter.

Very easy way to travel around the city, easy to understand and connect with the train service, go to information centre for tickets and timetables.

Use the trikk in town, it takes you easy cross the town. Departures in 5 or 10 minutes. Expensive though, cost 30NOK ($4,50) for one trip (you can exchange trikk, during the next hour).

We got the express bus outside of Torp airport that ran to Oslo central bus staion, brilliant service that met the UK flight from Liverpool approx 11.00£ each way . Good service .
