  • Egon Restaurant

    3.5 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

The Egon Restaurant has two locations in Oslo, one at Paleet building/shopping centre on Karl Johan's stret and the other at Byporten shopping centre at Oslo S railway station. The menu is basically the same, and the style, interior deocrations the same. Very rustic, things found in old barns and what have you. The Byporten one is very busy, so I...

    4.5 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

Restaurant Havsmak is a seafood restaurant, which has seasonal menus, lobsters all year round and an expensive (but interesting) five-course menu. The only negative point about the restaurant is that you should not trust too much the menus outside... when you go in you'll discover that some dishes are not in the inside menu. While food was...

  • Dinner

    4.5 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

Some of the best Chinese I have ever had, and I've had a lot of it. Very distinct and varied flavors and everything was very fresh. My meal was close to $50, but considering that it included 1/2 of a lobster and jumbo shrimp, the price was not out of line, even for outside of Oslo.

  • D/S LOUISE

    4 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

D/S Loise is a place for quite traditional Norwegian food, has seasonal specialities, but does not go stale on the tradtitions. There is food here without the ever-present brown sauce! A very good place to eat and burn your money, the occasion being food tasting, romance or the big splash out - or with business colleagues. Excellent food,...

  • Sult restaurant

    4.5 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

We chose sult because the online website proposed whale, which we unethically wanted to taste... but when we got there we were informed that they only serve it in the summer season. A bad start... and yet we had a marvellous meal. The restaurant is unpretentious and packed with people (friendly people, I must add), and the staff very friendly.....

  • Lofoten

    4.5 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

Lofoten, taking it's name from those islands up north, lies at the tip of Aker Brygge. Perfect location for sea food. A bit of a place to see and be seen, and a super place for business dinners if you want to impress guests. A bit cool-looking, steel and glassy, so if you want a more traditional and rough setting and lower cost/chic factor check...

    Oslo Restaurants

UPDATE: THIS PLACE HAS CLOSED DOWN AND I DO NOT KNOW WHERE IT'S REINCARNATION IS. WHAT A PITY! WILL RESEARCH AND TEST IT IF I FIND IT. There isn't a great choice of vegetarian eateries in Oslo, or Norway for that matter... The sole exception in Oslo is Vegeta Vertshus in downtown Oslo. Confusingly, it still carries its old name...

  • Mr. Hong

    3.5 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

This is the worst eating experience i have ever had in my life. The place is quite dirty and the air is filled with deep friend scents that stick to your hair. Besides the place, there is very little selection at the buffet, the fish was old and has been cooked very little. We would at least expect fresh fish here in Oslo. Sauces seem to be sitting...

  • Cafe Celsius

    4 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

We had lunch in this cafe twice and both times were very happy with our meals. The first time we had a table outside in the square, which was very nice, but on the second visit we chose one in the cafe's small courtyard, which was even better - quieter, without any traffic, and with a lovely small fountain. The nicest thing I ate here was an...

  • Kaffistova

    3.5 out of 5 stars

    Oslo Restaurants

Kaffistova serves homemade norwegian food the traditional way. If you are a fan of testing out the traditional food of the places you travel - then you should pay this place a visit. The prices are very reasonable and they have something for every taste I should believe. I personally prefer the fish and meat dishes on their menu. Though many find...

I stumbled into Rust one day and was pleasantly surprised at the interior feeling. Warm candles and rustic feel made it cozy and intimate. This little cafe, run by some Italian expatriates, is a great little place to get a sandwich (50 Kroner) and a caffe latte (30kr). Although the best thing to get here is the ice cream.
