You can have a guided tour around the island with Frode's son, swim in the fjord, fish from the shore, help Frode at the farm or simply just relax on a car free island. If you have your own, or a rented boat, Brimse is excellent as a base for exploring the 7 fjords in the area or do some deepwater fishing.

On Rennesøy, across the strait, is the middle age monastery Utstein, with a museum. Opening hours:
Sundays: 12-17
Tuesday - Saturday: 10-16
Mondays closed.
Group arrangements can be made outside normal opening hours.
The monastery is also used for concerts in the summer season.
