A little history that i found on the restaurantes website
Lothe's mat og vinhus has existed in this house since 14th April 1989.
The property was built early in the 1850's and has been a famous
landmark in and around Haugesund harbour.
The house was seriously damaged due to a fire in 1905. Rumor has it
that the person killed in the fire , can still be heard walking around upstairs.
However nobody has ever seen him - Yet!!
