If you want to see the entire Stavanger Region in a sight, you don't have to go at Preikestolen but to Dalsnuten.
You'll drive there from Sandnes, no more than 10 minutes, or to take the bus 21 from the "bussterminalen".
Take a look at my pictures if you have any doubts about the need to go there.
A huge park, a kind of tree collection, impressive especially in the light of October.
I thought that the size is much smaller than it is actually.
In the week-ends the forest is full of child's voices.
This is the best playground I have seen until now in the forest.
Kongeparken-the biggest amusement park in Norway?
Probably yes, but we haven't seen them all to be sure.
And we have seen actually only a part of it, before the Christmas in 2007.
Far to be comparable with Disneyland or Efteling, we have to recognize that, for a country with only 5 million people, it is big.
And all the kids (even their parents) would find interesting things to do here.
Again, do not expect to find a "lavish" park over here, probably the best characteristic of it being the fact that everything is "Spartan", as everything in Norway, in my point of view.
Sandnes is a city in Rogaland county, in the west of Norway. It is the fastest growing city in the country, with about 900 more persons per year.
Sandnes lies very close to Stavanger, and they have more or less grown together over the years.
