  • Summer: Just walk around in...

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Summer: Just walk around in the centre of town, buy the worlds best (!) ice cream at Finns Konditori or a bag of shrimps in the harbour. Have a cold drink in one of the outdoor cafes, relax, enjoy!
Winter: Many interesting museums and art galleries - and something warming in a cafŽ afterwards.

Fondest memory: Everything is in a short walking distance, even if Stavanger is the fourth largest city in Norway. Nightlife is great, and there are lots of good restaurants, all in the (partial car free) centre of town. A great variety of shops, I always find what I need (and more).

    The right moves...

Favorite thing: Stavanger city centre is covered by free wireless internett access. Send an SMS from your mobile phone to 04005 with the code word WIFI and your mobile number, you will be sent a password.
then choose the wireless network named Bynett, write your password and you're online.
If you are using a non-Norwegian mobile phone operator send for the password to ?4741716045.
